On November 13, Ron Hosler turned in, what Mike Dias referred to as, "The greatest bowling performance I have ever seen."
Bowling in the PBA Experience League at Bowl-ero Lanes, where he is carrying the league high average, at 226, Hosler shot consecutive games of 241-289-298 (828 series), 259, 257, 290 (806 series). To cap off his incredible night, Hosler shot 246 in his final game.
Hosler, who averaged 268.57 for the night, opened his set by missing a 7-pin. Not surprisingly, it was his only open frame of the night.
Hosler will earn numerous USBC Sport Bowling awards including: 800 series, 298 game, 11-in-a-row and Clean-30.
It remains to be determined where, exactly, this accomplishment ranks statistically among all-time Sport Bowling scoring performances, but we know it has to be among the greatest ever.
